The daily Therapeutic Programme is a structured programme with an emphasis on groups, including small psychotherapy groups, art and music therapy groups, task-oriented work groups, sport and recreational activities, unit and community meetings. Patients are encouraged to work through issues in these groups and learn to understand their feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Through being able to understand and communicate to others the reasons for their individual difficulties, patients are better able to cope with major personal change.
Patients also participate in individual therapy with a psychiatrist and/or psychotherapist and can access additional assessment and treatment as required from the GP and dietitian.

[My therapist] allowed me to be kind to myself again, to know and understand that life is for living, to ‘grow’ in life, love and laughter.
