Healing Through Belonging

Presented by Dr David Beaumont

About This Seminar

Why do relational and empowering therapeutic approaches work?

In this engaging presentation, Dr David Beaumont explores mental illness, trauma and addiction through the emerging science of systems biology, neuroscience and Positive Medicine. Discover how adverse life experiences can shape a defensive worldview, and why safety, belonging and participation are fundamental to healing.

Bringing together science and lived experience, David offers a hopeful new perspective on why therapeutic communities are so effective—and how creating a culture of belonging helps people reconnect with themselves, participate more fully in life, and ultimately get more from it.
